“What sets Masseria Morongo apart is its embrace of Passive House principles. Sylvestre, one of the two homes, was designed to meet the stringent energy-efficiency standards of the Passive House Institute (PHI).”

  • Masseria Morongo is a modern desert retreat that reimagines short-term stays through design, sustainability, and sensory experience. Set on five private acres in Morongo Valley, the property features two architecturally distinct homes, Solara and Sylvestre. One is built to Passive House principles, while the other follows traditional construction standards.

  • The project is a collaboration between designer and real estate entrepreneur Jojo Steinberg and architect Trent Laughton of Not | Not Architecture. Together, they combined high-performance building standards, reclaimed materials, and thoughtful craftsmanship to create a space that’s both elevated and grounded in its desert setting.

  • Masseria Morongo welcomes partnerships for editorial features, content creation, retreats and brand activations that align with its ethos of intentional living and cultural connection.
